Welcome to ATLAS BANK!

We are a United States federally chartered full service mutual savings bank dedicated to meeting the needs of all Greater New York City metropolitan area business professionals and individuals. The Management and Board of Directors of Atlas Bank believe that we present a more attractive alternative to the residents and business community of New York City and it's surrounding counties than the larger regional and national institutions.

Since the end of the 19th century, an idea to open a financial institution originated in the Polish community. There was no financial institution that would help Polish immigrants gain financial stability in the new world. On August 8, 1900, Jozef Jankowski along with a group of other fourteen Polish immigrants gathered together and founded "Polish-American Co-operative Savings and Loan Association" in Brooklyn, New York. Shortly thereafter, the first members began to make deposits. By the end of 1901, the association had 51 members, and by the year 1910 it increased to 253 members.

On August 3, 1938 the name Polish-American Co-operative Savings and Loan Association was changed to Atlas Savings and Loan Association.

In response to the need to provide more products and services for our customers--Atlas Savings and Loan Association converted from a New York State-chartered savings and loan association to a federally-chartered mutual savings bank and changed its name to Atlas Bank. Although the regulatory agency that oversees Atlas Bank is now federal and the name has changed to Atlas Bank, the mission remains the same--the new logo that appears on our website, new statements, and merchandise affirms our commitment to provide personalized financial services to our customers and continued support for the local community.

On July 23, 2010 Atlas Bank officially opens first branch location in the community of Staten Island--the first branch opening for Atlas Bank since the Bank was established in 1900.

Today Atlas Bank has over $107 million in total assets.

Total assets are now over $107 million and our capital has been growing at a steady rate. Moreover, our capital to assets ratio of 16%--is one of the highest among the banks and credit unions in the United States of America.

Brooklyn Branch: Full service business hours are from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Mondays,  9:00 to 5:00 PM  Tuesdays to Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday.

Staten Island Branch: Full Service business hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM weekdays (Closed on Wednesday), 9:00 to 2:00 PM on Saturday.
